Interpreting Services

Language Means holds a roster of efficient and seasoned interpreters that work with all interpreting techniques:

Interpreting Services Simultaneous Interpreting (booth): The interpreter works inside a booth in the conference room and delivers the message in the target language at the same time as the speaker addresses the audience. This technique is perfect for large meetings, such as seminars, symposiums and conferences.

Consecutive Interpreting: This technique is often used in small meetings or press conferences. The speaker delivers the message in periods of a certain duration. After each pause, the interpreter translates or summarizes the message.

Whispering Interpreting: As in the case of simultaneous interpreting, the interpreter delivers the message at the same time as the speaker, but now only deals with a small group and does not need technological aids. It is perfect for meetings where only one or two people do not speak the language being used.

Interpreting Services Liaison Interpreting: The interpreter mediates in the dialogue between two people who speak different languages. Used in very small gatherings.

Phone Interpreting: an increasingly popular technique in an ever-growing globalized world. The interpreter does not need to be next to any of the speakers. It is a very useful tool when written communication is not enough.

We also provide interpreting services for family conferences. Resorting to an interpreter when we need to communicate with a loved one who speaks a different language is becoming increasingly popular. Our interpreters are aware of how important those moments can be, and their experience enables them to handle these situations with tact and confidentiality.
